Facilities
Camp Nauvoo offers the following facilities:
- The Lodge - all-weather, two story, 40′ by 100′ cedar building that offers individual sleeping rooms for rent
- Tiny Houses each sleeps up to 7, cabin-like feel with bathroom, kitchenette, and air conditioning/heat
- Cabins - range in capacity from 4 to 12 people with air conditioning/heat
- Retreat House - sleeps up to 10, furnished kitchen, two bathrooms, living area, washer/dryer
- RV Sites & Tent Camping - pull-through sites on level, 60 foot long concrete pads with full hookups and electricity only available at tent sites
- Other Facilities - baseball diamond, volleyball court, half-court basketball pad, and campfire site overlooking the Mississippi River
- Playground - slides, swings, climbers, and much more
- Wi-fi - free accessibility available
Use Policy:
- Groups or families with youth under age 21 must have adult supervision at all times.
- The campgrounds are an alcohol-free and illegal, drug-free property and all buildings are smoke free.
- Each user of the grounds is expected to clean up after themselves before leaving. All trash and garbage should be put in plastic bags and placed in the dumpsters provided.
- Open fires are to be at the campfire site or in approved campfire equipment.
- All dogs (or other pets) will be on a leash at all times when outside and owners will clean up after them. This is a city ordinance.
- Users will provide their own bedding, pillows, towels, and fans.
- Vehicle parking in designated parking areas only.
- These policies are short due to the fact it is assumed people using the grounds are responsible and reasonable people. Help us keep this opinion of our campers.
Reservations:
- First choice of dates is reserved for Community of Christ events after which reservations are made on a first come first served basis.
- A day is 24-hours starting at one o’clock and ending at noon on the day you will be leaving. This allows us to make sure the camp is ready for the next group.
- Reservations will be confirmed with the receipt of the completed reservation form, deposit check of $50, and certificate of insurance. The camp will return the deposit check if, after inspections, the campgrounds are found to be clean. A checklist will be provided to help ensure all clean up specifications are met.
- Cancellations: Please let us know at the earliest possible time. If cancellation is made prior to 10 days before scheduled usage, the deposit check will be returned. If less than 10 days prior, you agree to pay 80% of the first night’s fee using the estimated number of persons you show on the registration form. We do recognize there can be serious emergencies, which will be consider on an individual basis.
- Payment of the usage fee will be made before departure or in accordance with arrangements made with the resident campground coordinator.
